Kelly Clarkson became the personification of the American Dream when she won the inaugural series of American Idol. She has been awarded four American Music Awards as well twelve Billboard Music Awards. Two Grammy Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards and two Grammy Awards. The nominations she has received and the awards she has won for major music awards have totaled up to 98.
